Unnamed ~ Political Drama Prologue
This was a small project I undertook after having read a number of historical accounts of several conflicts, including the Chinese and Russian Civil Wars. There's a certain degree of grittiness and tonality that these works captured really well that I wanted to emulate in a fantasy setting; this prologue follows a small band of revolutionaries on the road to their next assignment.
> Google Docs linkEarthBound Redesign Game Design Document
As a class assignment, we were instructed to remaster a game that had failed commercially for the modern age. EarthBound is unique in the cult following it has garnered in the years since its release; I maneuvered to create a remaster document that would provide the same loving detail that Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee provided for their source material.

One of my favorite works so far has been the "OGSD" prompt provided in a writing class; the idea was to come up with a multi-page document explaining a conceptual video game with examples as to what might be included and how the player would interact with the game as it relates to the story. Shattered Sun is another sociopolitical parody work, taking into account the idea of Imperial Japanese expansionism in the 20th century and how deeply corrupt unchecked corporatism could become. The player is given free reign to align with any one political faction in order to bring about their desired outcome, for better or worse.

"Card Clash" ~ Board Game Design
Card Clash was some of the most fun I've ever had doing in a group. It's a player-versus-player board game played on a grid made up of hexagons; each player is dealt a hand of units at the start of the game. Players attempt to be the last one with units on the board, with the game going until that result is reached. The "clash" aspect resembles the common JRPG battle system; both players roll dice to determine who has the higher speed in a battle and attack in that order.

Patient X is the culmination of a bunch of time spent fiddling around in RPGMaker and solid teamplay; as a final project in an earlier class, I worked with three other students in order to produce this game (two on art, two on programming, one of which was me!). A lot of time went into balancing the gunplay and survival horror mechanics alone; I did the grand majority of the map-building and battle scripting. Patient X's storyline follows a loner in Wisconsin who crashes his car in the middle of nowhere on his way up north; the only building in site is a remarkably well maintained hospital from half a decade ago. What could go wrong?

Dragon Ball Z Re-Dub Project
I'd describe this as my first major collegiate effort; with a team of three other people, we ventured to wipe all the audio from a scene in Dragon Ball Z and replace it with completely homemade sound. I was the producer for this project and oversaw our usage of Logic Pro, the selection of foley equipment we used, and generally organized everyone to help make this possible. I'm real proud of this one.
DOOM II - SpongeBob Re-Dub Project
Once again, I took up the mantle of a producer to create this project; I handled modding sounds into DOOM II and generally provided directions and in-person support for my teammates towards making the sounds you hear in this video. If we had more time, we'd do sprites too. :p
Artistic Examples
Unity Microgame Re-Texture Endeavor
I don't consider myself much of a visual artist; however, this project was my earnest attempt at doing art for a game confined within a certain style/theme. I'm very proud of how this came out with that being said.
